We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Gardener - Manual Labour to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and beautification of our outdoor spaces. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of gardening tasks that require manual labor, physical endurance, and a love for nature. The Gardener will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that our gardens, landscapes, and outdoor areas are well-kept and thriving. This position involves using a range of gardening tools and equipment, as well as implementing sustainable practices to maintain the health of our plants and soil. Therefore, we are looking for individuals who are not only physically fit but also have a strong knowledge of horticulture, landscape design, and plant care. The ability to work in various weather conditions and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks will be essential. Responsibilities
Perform daily grooming of gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas.
Plant, transplant, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants.
Apply mulch, fertilizers, and pest control products as necessary.
Mow, edge, and weed gardens and lawns for a tidy appearance.
Assist in landscape design and implementation projects.
Maintain and repair gardening tools and equipment for efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections of gardens for signs of pests or disease.
Requirements
Proven experience as a gardener or in similar manual labor roles.
Knowledge of plant care, horticultural practices, and landscaping techniques.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs).
Familiarity with using lawn care and gardening tools and machinery.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
A Full UK Driving Licence is a must have for this job opportunity.
