Summary
We are looking for a Holiday Cottage Cleaner to prepare our stunning holiday cottages at Oare and Countisbury
Internally within the National Trust, you will be known as a 'Holidays Operation Assistant'.
Hours: : This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible.
Typical weekly hours are negotiable depending on availability and can be from 5-20 hours per week. Average shift pattern 10am – 3.30pm Monday to Saturday’s The main changeover day will depend on which cottage you look after, however, short breaks and late bookings mean that changeover days can also fall on other days of the week, so flexibility is essential.
Rotas are issued in advance, and we try to accommodate other commitments where possible.
Salary: £12.25 per hour.
Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 01-May-2026
Potential start date: ASAP

The North Devon team look after 21 cottages along the North Devon Coast and West Exmoor, you will spend your days in some beautiful settings helping prepare our cottages for our guests.
What you'll be doing
On changeover days, you’ll make sure that everything’s pristine and ready for the next guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well-presented and welcoming. We’d also like you to keep an eye out for anything that’s not as it should be, and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing. If you need to, you’ll also replace any broken items from the store supplies.
Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all teams, and extra measures are in place to protect staff.
