Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. The Healthcare Assistant will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all residents receive the support they need.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to provide updates on care and wellbeing.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents.
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as required.
Experience
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and colleagues.
Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting is advantageous.
A caring attitude towards elderly individuals and those requiring assistance is essential.
A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents when needed.
