As an SIO, in accordance with JSP 822 and SIO MPD- Defence Policy documents you will be specifically responsible for:
Delivering technical training ensuring conformity to authorised specifications.
Providing an exciting, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Ensure compliance with personal responsibilities to students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD)/Specialist Educational Needs.
Acting as a Role Model ensuring that the highest standards of behaviour are maintained in accordance with the Defence Trainer Code of Conduct & Civil Service Code of Conduct.
Monitoring student welfare and process any concerns through the chain of command in accordance Supervisory Care Directive.
Undertaking role of an examination invigilator, ensuring any concessions or specialist requirements are carried out.
Contributing to continuous improvement; maintaining own specialist subject matter expertise (knowledge and skills) and specialist subject content; undertake a minimum of 5 hours Continuous Professional Development (CPD) per annum to address developmental goals.
Contributing to own continuous improvement; personally arrange for Instructional Techniques/Teaching Practice and Lesson Content Monitoring observations to be undertaken.
Participating in internal and external evaluation audits as required.
