What skills and experience we're looking for

We have a vacancy in our SEN department to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs through targeted small group interventions.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate resilience, initiative, patience and a passion for working with and assisting young people to learn. There are excellent opportunities for career progression and a full induction will be provided. Candidates must have proven literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to GCSE grade C and above.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver interventions to individual pupils or small groups from Year 7 to Year 11, these will primarily be in literacy and numeracy but can also cover science and other subject content, as well as preparation for adulthood skills. The sessions are fully resourced and ready to be delivered to our pupils. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO and subject teachers to ensure pupils receive the best support possible. Our pupils are a delight to work with and always value the extra support offered by our exceptional Learning Support Department.
