Summary
The Job Description and Person Specification are attached to this job, please review for the full details and responsibilities These position/s will be based within ENT & cardiology OPD areas primarily however the posts may include the rotation to 4 other OPD areas including main outpatients & Cauldwell OPD areas. You will be joining a team of both qualified nurses and clinical support workers who work in all areas which specialise in all medical and surgical conditions. You will be expected to have an excellent knowledge of outpatient clinics and general knowledge of medical and surgical conditions. However a special interest or a willingness to increase knowledge in this speciality would be beneficial. You will be responsible for the day to day coordination and management of Outpatient clinics utilising your organisational skills during the clinics and be responsible/ proficient in managing clinics ensuring patients receive a gold standard service. You will be expected to be proficient or working towards proficiency in wound dressings i.e. compression & VAC dressings, ECG recording, minor operations procedures and have a wide knowledge of surgical and medical conditions. You will be expected to become proficient in assisting with minor surgery clinics supporting the clinician and ensuring WHO checklist are completed as per trust policy if required after a period of supervision.
