This inclusive secondary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team for a long-term role starting ASAP or September 2025 on a long term basis!
Key Responsibilities - Teaching Assistant
- Provide 1:1 academic support to students who require additional assistance
- Lead and support small group interventions, helping to close learning gaps across a range of subjects
- Work closely with teachers to deliver differentiated classroom support
- Build positive, supportive relationships with students to help improve engagement and outcomes
- Assist with behaviour management and pastoral care where necessary
- Monitor and track student progress and contribute to their Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
Requirements - Teaching Assistant
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting
- Strong understanding of KS3 and KS4 curriculum
- Confident supporting students academically, both 1:1 and in small groups
- A patient, positive, and proactive approach to learning support
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
