Summary
BSW - Trafford:
Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic teaching assistants to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Alternative Provision settings in Trafford (M16).
This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development. You will be supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with SEMH.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
- Building rapport and positive relationships with pupils to help them engage with their learning and make progress both academically and as young people
- Collaborating with other staff members and external agencies to best support the pupils development
- Assisting with both learning and vocational activities, on and off site
Position Details:
- Location: Trafford area
- Position: Behaviour Support
- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full time/Part time: Full time only
- Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £105 per day, depending on experience
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Long-Term, Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare based Qualification is highly desired
- Experience working within a SEMH provision or AP
- Resilient, proactive and positive nature
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
