Summary
Year 7 Nurture Teacher - Bury
ASAP until December 2025
We are looking for a Nurture Teacher for a two term role, starting ASAP. You will be responsible for teaching a balanced Primary Curriculum to Year 7 students who need that little extra support and guidance. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a two term supply booking. There is a possibility of the post becoming permanent for Januarry 2026.
The school is a small but outstanding Specialist Provision and you will be teaching groups of up to 6 or 7 students and you will be ably supported by skilful learning assistants. Facilities are outstanding and include sensory rooms, a nature garden, and access to a protected nature trail which is perfect for outdoor education during the summer months!
The school offers GCSE subjects for its students and prides itself on offering a supportive, calm environment for learning.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
Either qualified to teach Primary KS2 or Secondary KS3/4 with relevant experience of Nurture Groups
Previous experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
