PA required for a chatty, people-loving, autistic 16 year old who currently attends mainstream school with a 1:1 teacher. She needs support in the family home, on journeys and at sport or other activities. She wants growing up and friendship-building to get easier, so the PA we’re looking for, would help her gain skills to socialise and manage herself, her own time, her own tasks, her own safety and home environment. Her biggest two challenges currently are; staying focused, and staying confident in herself when something isn’t achievable straight away.

Personal qualities This role would suit a lively, confident and patient person with a clear voice, who has experience of supporting children with social and communication needs - in a professional or personal capacity. If you’re creative and, or musical, like she is, that would be a bonus.
