Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading tier 1 Main Contractors in the role of Senior Estimator. They are looking to strengthen their major projects and regeneration division.
The contractor work on a vast range of projects including residential, education, health, commercial, leisure centres and data centres amongst others.
£90k-£115k
You'll:
- Work on multiple tenders at once averaging between £100m and £400m.
- Prepare all financial elements and components of the tendering process from identification and authorisation to proceed to financial handover and beyond.
- Prepare all necessary financial documents for the Estimating Director.
- Assist the bidding team with any post tender negotiations as required.
- Maintain accurate benchmarking data from completed tenders and secured projects.
- Liaise with Procurement with regards to subcontractor selection and potential further opportunities on price betterment.
- Actively partake in and be a champion of electronic tendering practices and integration of BIM.
We're looking for:
- 7-10 years' experience in Estimating.
- Project experience between £100m to £500m.
- Experience pricing tenders using computerised estimating system(s)
- Demonstrable experience of liaising/working with Sub-contractors and Suppliers to produce robust estimates
- Demonstrable experience of issuing/receiving tender queries.
