We are looking for a driven individual to help optimise the efficiency of the Grocery Home Shopping network, assisting teams to develop new processes and solutions and to proactively go after issues and generate business improvement ideas. A role fit for your excellent analytical skills.

You will be analysing and optimising the efficiency and performance of the Tesco Grocery Home Shopping network, from picking products on the shelf, through the marshalling process and on to home delivery for our customers. Working as part of the Fulfilment Network Centre of Excellence, you will identify and quantify opportunities to improve end-to-end process by analysing the network, identifying trends, and feeding learnings into processes and assumptions. You will contribute to the development of new business tools, that streamline and automate complex problems. You will proactively identify areas of underperformance and help diagnose and address root causes.

You will be responsible for


  • Analyse and optimise picking, marshalling, and delivery processes and systems
  • Diagnose root causes and help provide data-driven solutions to improve the analytical engines that sit behind the processes, and the end-to-end operational processes themselves
  • Working cross-functionally to steer the 10 Year strategy based on a spectrum of requirements
  • Generate actionable intelligence and insight
  • Run analytical projects, and support project work of other teams
  • Retrieve and report data from several data sources and business areas, create new metrics to help find problems early

You will need

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and SQL is a requirement
  • Good knowledge of other analytical/data manipulation tools, such as Python or Alteryx
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and ways of working would be an asset
  • Familiarity with statistics would be an asset
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with large datasets
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills will help you working with teams and individuals around you
  • You are creative and ideas-driven in finding solutions
  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a highly numerate and analytical subject is required (e.g. Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering etc.)
