Contribute to performance improvement, taking a lead for identified areas where agreed, and overall day to day management of the workstream performance. To oversee the delegation of workload within the team. To ensure that you and the clinical team adhere at all times to the relevant National Framework and guidance, NMC Code of Professional Conduct and work within established policies, procedures, protocols and systems ensuring quality standards and performance as directed by the Head of CHC Service Delivery and Placement Governance. To ensure that services are delivered to maximize patient safety. To hold and manage a defined caseload for those with complex health needs. To deputise for the CHC Clinical Manager as required. Provide coordination of and participate in relevant internal and external working groups. Support the management of a risk and issues tracking mechanism and its proactive resolution and escalation processes. To support the team to ensure re-validation of professional registration is maintained. Take a lead in the coordination of training, clinical consistency meetings, development and recruitment activity across the team. Manage staff, undertaking appraisals and ensuring that appropriate training is delivered to staff. Ensure that all complaints, comments and suggestions are dealt with appropriately, in accordance with policy, resolving where possible and escalating to line manager as appropriate. To ensure own and teams compliance with all statutory and mandatory training. To progress any disciplinary or capability issues, as necessary. Contribute to improvements of current management information, analysing, reporting and suggesting procedures to enhance decision making processes. Ensure timely and accurate information analysis and reporting to management on agreed areas of work. Work with members of the team to investigate the causes of any variance from target/plan and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions. To ensure correct Continuing Healthcare guidance and process is followed and that services are delivered to maximise patient safety. To comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Code of Practice on confidentiality and data protection. To participate in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision in line with NMC guidelines and ensure that the clinical team are supported in the process. To ensure re validation of own professional registration is maintained. To act as Duty Clinician as required. To provide cover for other Nurse Assessors as appropriate.
