The Council is delivering an ambitious regeneration agenda, focused on creating the infrastructure and business environment that will generate economic growth for the local area. The Council has recently awarded a number of large asset maintenance and investment contracts (the ‘Enterprise Contracts’) which are designed to contribute to the delivery of this agenda.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small but pivotal team. In this role you will provide comprehensive support including contract management support.
Working with us, in the Enterprise Contracts Performance and Assurance team, you will share our ambition for our communities and join us in ensuring robust contract management which supports these ambitions and the priorities of the Council. Working closely with our client delivery teams across the Council, you will ensure that the Enterprise Contracts are effectively implemented and managed.
In this varied and rewarding role you will be responsible for supporting contract management and assurance which reflect best practice and ensure compliance with corporate governance arrangements and standards.
You will require an HNC/SVQ3, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, and experience in contract management with knowledge of appropriate legal and local government regulatory frameworks for contract management and procurement. With experience of working collaboratively with both internal and external parties, you will also have some knowledge and experience of tendering and contracting activity from a support perspective. You will also require experience of risk identification and management and have the ability to support the development and delivery of training for contract management and related system use.
You will require clear analytical skills and enhanced digital skills to ensure that data to support contract management is captured and can be readily reported. You will have the ability to foster good working relationships and to influence others.
With excellent organisational and IT skills, you will be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages, and be a clear written and verbal communicator, with the ability to analyse information and produce reports and with experience of presenting information in public forums
You must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and out with this area to undertake the duties of this post.
