About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Music Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school based in the Buttershaw area of Bradford. This full-time temporary role is to start ASAP and will run until the end of the term. Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum for Music
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver inspiring Music lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Plan and mark work in line with school policies
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly
  • Provide feedback and support to help students improve
  • Promote a positive learning environment
  • Encourage musical participation beyond the classroom
  • Prepare students for performances and assessments
  • Organise and support school concerts or productions
  • Deliver extra-curricular music clubs or ensembles
  • Encourage creativity and critical listening skills
