Summary


Position: Clinical Specialist Nurse – Dermatology
Type: Part-time (30 hours/week), Fixed-term (12-month maternity cover)

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiasticDermatology Nurseto join our dedicated team in a12-month maternity cover role. This is apart-time position(30 hours per week), offering an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, specialist care to patients with a variety of skin conditions.

In this role, you will be responsible for independently managing and delivering specialised dermatology clinics, includingphototherapy, patch testing, systemic drug monitoring, and responding to patient inquiries via the dermatology helpline. The post also includes essentialadministrative responsibilitiesto support the effective operation of the department.

We are looking for a candidate withproven dermatology experience, strong clinical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, patient-centred environment.
• Phototherapy Clinic: Administer phototherapy treatments (narrowband UVB, PUVA) to patients with conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, while monitoring their response and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Patch Testing Clinic: Perform patch testing application and removal ensuring appropriate follow-up and patient education.
• Systemic Drug Monitoring Clinic: Monitor patients on systemic treatments (e.g. biologics, immunosuppressants), coordinating regular blood tests and tracking medication side effects.
• Dermatology Helpline: Provide support and advice to patients via phone, addressing medication concerns, treatment plans, and follow-up queries.
• Administrative Duties: Schedule patient appointments, maintain accurate records, and assist with departmental audits and reporting as needed.
