We are looking for Apprentice Electricians to join our team based in Skegness.

Join Platform Property Care (PPC) as an Apprentice and you will be joining a well-established property maintenance business. We provide responsive day to day repairs, property refurbishment, and electrical and gas servicing for our 120,000 customers living in over 48,000 homes across the Midlands. Part of Platform Housing Group, with over 1,800 colleagues, we work to deliver quality homes and customer services that make real differences to local home and lives.

What will you be doing as an Apprentice Electrician?  

As an Apprentice Electrician you will learn all about what it takes to make sure our customers’ homes are maintained to a high and safe standard. You will produce work of the highest quality while providing excellent service to our customers, clients, and your team.  

As part of this apprenticeship, you will work closely with qualified Electricians carrying out first and second fix electrical work and electrical repairs in a domestic setting. The work will be varied and interesting and you will have the support of a mentor throughout your apprenticeship.   

At College, you will study the 4-year Electrical Installation Apprenticeship standard at Level 3 by attending Boston College or a similar provider one day a week, alongside learning and working with experienced operatives during the rest of the week.   

On successful completion of the Electrical Installation Level 3 Apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for any related job vacancies within PPC. If you gain permanent employment with PPC you will continue to be supported in your learning and development. PPC has a strong track record of offering permanent jobs to its Apprentices once they qualify.

Grade 4 or above GCSE or equivalent in English 

Grade 4 or above GCSE or equivalent in Maths 

Some things you need to know  

This Apprentice will be joining a team based in Skegness, so applicants need to live in this area to be considered for this role. 

This is a Level 3 course lasting 4 years maximum. This could be less if you have already started studying towards this qualification. 

Ideally you would need to hold a full driving licence, this is not essential initially, but the role is mobile so would be required to be achieved
