Summary
We are seeking two Circuit Mission and Outreach Workers, to work closely with our church communities in North Kirklees and Morley Circuit, to promote, encourage, and enable effective mission and evangelism and to identify and deliver outreach activities on behalf of the churches and the Circuit. These are new posts, based across 8 churches in the North section (Churwell, Morley, Tingley, West Ardsley, Birkenshaw & East Bierley, Birstall, Drighlington, and Gomersal) and 7 churches in the South section (Cleckheaton, St. Andrew’s Liversedge, Westborough, Batley
Central, Longcauseway LEP, St. Andrew’s Mirfield and Trinity Mirfield).
The successful candidates will take the initiative on leading and developing discipleship opportunities for a wide range of people, working in partnership with ministerial colleagues and lay volunteers.
The appointments require an enhanced DBS disclosure and satisfactory references. The appointments also require an understanding of the aims and work of the Methodist Church in Great Britain. An occupational requirement exists for the postholders to be practising Christians.
25 hours per week, worked flexibly in agreement with the Line Manager, which will include some evening and weekend working. Actual days, start and finish times will be variable in accordance with the needs of the Employer. The days of the week on which you may be required to work are Sunday to Friday. You will not be expected to work on more than four days in a calendar week.
