Summary

Job title: Personal assistant
Location: Bow Street area
Hours of work: 23 hours per week plus additional hours to cover my other PA’s absence
Rate of pay: £13.00 per hour

Introduction:
Job vacancy for a PA for an easy-going gentleman in Bow Street.
I require assistance in maintaining a clean home environment, cooking, shopping, socialisation and some personal care. 23 hours per week with an increase in hours when cover is needed for other PA absences.

Monday to Thursday 9 – 11.30 and Friday 9 - 12
I need assistance with showering, dressing, moisturising skin as required, changing catheter night bag, preparing breakfast, prepare medication, general laundry and domestic duties.

Monday to Friday between 4 – 6 I need assistance to prepare meal, laundry, prepare for bed, assist into night clothes

Main Tasks
• Shopping, I can drive the mobility van to the shop so driver not essential but advantageous
• I need support with general household tasks such as cooking and cleaning
• Support with personal care, assist me to shower and get dressed
• Socialisation, having occasional outing out with myself and other PA.

Person Specification
• Able to use own initiative and be self-motivated
• Able to maintain confidentiality and be aware of privacy.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Full driving license an advantage

Wages will be paid in arrears on a 4 weekly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.
You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
