As a NEC Supervisor
You will collaborate with the wider multi-disciplined team to successfully support the contractual duties to deliver a selection of public sector funded infrastructure projects. Your presence on site will allow you to monitor the works, witness any testing, check compliance with the Works Information and ensure that all works are conducted in line with the quality and standards defined in the contract.
Your expertise in this area, combined with experience within highways and civil engineering, will enable you to identify any potential issues before they arise, communicate to the relevant parties, and put forward prevention measures to ensure the effective continuation of works.
You will be part a busy and professional team who have a proven record of consistently meeting and exceeding their targets and whose passion and determination lead them to continually improve the service they provide. We actively encourage staff development, meaning you will have opportunity to explore your career aspirations.
“Align your career success with delivering our ambitious growth plans”
To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:
Preferably be educated to Degree level or equivalent in Construction Project Management or related construction discipline (Building Surveyor, Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Civil Engineer, Project Management) or be able to demonstrate significant experience in the field
Be NEC accredited or hold equivalent professional qualification
Working knowledge of applicable industry standard forms of contract, NEC (3 & 4)
Experience and knowledge of pre and post contracts, preparing contract documentation and administration
Infrastructure and Project Management experience within Highways, active travel, civil engineering and public realm
Understanding and awareness of NEC suite of contracts, particularly Professional Service Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)
Great communications skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
