Muller Yogurts & Desserts in Telford are recruiting for a Shift Leader to lead and coach a team within the Warehouse department. The purpose of this role is to enable Muller UK to achieve its strategic vision through a culture of innovation and continuous improvement and to develop and manage systems, processes and resources within a given production business unit, to both meet & exceed prescribed business targets for volume, costs, quality, environmental, Health & Safety.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading and coaching a team along with a strong background in warehousing and manufacturing.
Contract – Permanent / Full time (42hours) Working Pattern
- 4 on 4 off days and nightsLocation – Telford
Key responsibilities
- Prompt recognition and actions regarding fault finding and correction.
- Sharing technical knowledge with team members to improve their capabilities
- Cross functional working with all departments
- Driving continuous improvement ideas through to completion
- Use root cause analysis to find corrective actions and solutions to problems
- Identifying & supporting, and evaluating production related training & development need
- Regular and consistent communication with their team through 1-1's, PDP discussions, regular cascade briefs
- Promote a lean culture on shift, promoting CI in the day to day running of the business.
- Mentoring, coaching & developing team members in company behaviours
- Ensuring professional work standards are met, aligned with Company policies & procedures
- Effective communication & implementation of Company policies, procedures & practices
- Supporting appropriate Managers/Team Leaders in Absence & Performance Management issues
- Identifying & supporting, and evaluating production related training & development needs
- Managing discipline of the team through a robust investigation and disciplinary procedure
- Identify poor performance and manage through a Performance Improvement Plan. Skills and Knowledge
