The Role:
You will work collaboratively, flexibly and efficiently among a group of staff to provide business and administrative support to key frontline services.
These services include fleet, recycling, waste, street cleansing, grounds maintenance and other neighbourhood services.
The work will vary across services, giving you the experience you need to develop a wide range of skills across different services. This will include things like responding to customer queries, managing information systems and databases for the operational team, processing invoices, producing work plans, and other key services critical to the effective management of services.
To do this you will need to be able to plan, organise and prioritise your own workload to meet specified requirements and deadlines.
About You:
You will work within a busy, friendly and supportive team. To do this well, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with other members of the team, the wider organisation, and members of the public in a positive, helpful and professional manner.
You will have excellent organisation and time management skills and be able to produce accurate letters, reports and statistical information.
Demonstrable experience working with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook is critical to the role.
If you have experience working in an administrative role, this will prove beneficial. However, it is not essential as there are plenty of opportunities to learn on the job for the right candidate. If you would like to develop a career in environment services, this is the perfect role for you!
