Level 2 Teaching Assistant

32.5 hours per week, term time plus one week

Fixed term initially until August 2026 due to funding

Grade 3, SCP 6 - 11, Actual salary £19,118 - £21,358 per annum pro rata.


St John’s Thornham are looking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs by providing high quality support within the classroom. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive team in a growing school.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Is caring, committed and highly motivated,
  • Has high expectations of all pupils’ achievement and behaviour,
  • Is hardworking and a team player who can work on their own initiative
  • This position will be based at St. John’s CE, Thornham but may from time to time require travel as necessary to collaborate with other schools which are all locally based.
