Search are currently working in partnership with a contractor in the North East who are looking for experienced Laggers to join their team on projects based in Newcastle. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where experience and reliability are key.
Job Description
As a Lagger, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of thermal insulation systems on pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical services. You must be able to work independently or as part of a team, following site instructions and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Installing insulation materials (hot and cold) on pipes and ductwork
* Measuring, cutting, and fitting lagging using appropriate tools and materials
* Cladding using aluminium, PIB, or other protective materials
* Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings where required
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred)
* Thermal Insulation qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
* Own tools and PPE
* On-site experience and verifiable references
Additional tickets such as IPAF, PASMA, or asbestos awareness are desirable but not essential.
