Location: Bournemouth
Permanent | 30 hours per week | Monday to Friday, 9am – 3pm (some flexibility available)
Hourly Rate: £12.21
We are currently seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our warm and welcoming residential care home, which specialises in high-quality elderly care. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive team that takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and homely environment for our residents.
About the Role:
As a Cleaner, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that the home is always clean, hygienic, and comfortable.
Your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning residents’ rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and kitchens to a high standard
Disinfecting surfaces and touch points to reduce risk of infection
Managing laundry, including washing, drying, and ironing where needed
Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
Restocking cleaning supplies and maintaining cleaning equipment
Reporting maintenance issues or health and safety concerns
Working in line with infection control policies and COSHH regulations
About You:
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Previous experience working as a cleaner or housekeeper, ideally in a care home, hospital, school or similar setting
A good understanding of COSHH and health and safety procedures
Attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A caring and respectful approach toward elderly residents
