Summary
Personal Care:
Assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
Mobility Support:
Helping individuals move around safely, using equipment as needed, and assisting with transfers.
Medication Management:
Administering medication as prescribed, following guidelines and policies.
Emotional Support:
Providing companionship, listening to concerns, and offering encouragement to promote well-being.
Social Activities:
Accompanying individuals to appointments, social events, or outings, and helping them maintain social connections.
Household Tasks:
Assisting with light housework, laundry, and shopping, depending on the specific role and client needs.
Communication:
Maintaining clear and respectful communication with individuals, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Record Keeping:
Documenting observations, care provided, and any changes in the individual's condition.
Promoting Independence:
Encouraging and supporting individuals to maintain their independence and self-care skills.
Safety:
Ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals in their care, reporting any concerns or incidents.
