How you will contribute

The Programme Director will direct and manage the implementation of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) workstreams and programme functions across various strategic activities. They will ensure the successful delivery of the EPR programme by meeting all milestones and effectively managing risks. A critical aspect of the role involves capturing, measuring, and delivering the transformation change benefits associated with the program.

Building and maintaining strong working relationships with Clients and their Programme Executive leadership, the central Programme team, and program/project managers across the shared EPR landscape is essential. The Programme Director will engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive program success and ensure comprehensive stakeholder engagement. Additionally, they will report through the EPR Programme governance structure, ensuring transparent communication and effective risk management.

The Programme Director will play a pivotal role in transforming digital healthcare, ensuring that Cloud21’s programmes are delivered efficiently and effectively while fostering positive client experiences.

Success criteria

- Proven leadership in complex EPR programme delivery – Demonstrates extensive experience leading full lifecycle implementations of EPR systems (e.g., Oracle Health/Cerner) within NHS Trusts, with a strong grasp of healthcare operations and strategic business change.
- Highly qualified and professionally accredited – Holds recognised project and programme management certifications (e.g., MSP, Prince2, PgMP) alongside additional expertise in change, risk, and benefits management.
- Strategic thinker with strong delivery focus – Known for delivering programmes on time, within budget and scope, while navigating NHS governance structures such as NHSE Green Book OBC/FBC processes.
- Exceptional communicator and stakeholder manager – Builds effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders, enabling alignment, engagement, and successful adoption of change.
- Analytical and adaptable problem-solver – Brings a sharp ability to interpret complex information, identify innovative solutions, and remain agile in fast-paced, evolving healthcare environments.
