Summary
Recruitment Professionals is proud to be supporting a growing law firm in the appointment of a Head of Conveyancing to lead and develop their expanding residential property team.
This is a career-defining opportunity for a Conveyancing Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 5 years’ experience, and the drive to take ownership of a department with autonomy and long-term progression.
About the Role
You will take on the leadership of a thriving conveyancing team, guiding day-to-day operations while shaping the department’s long-term direction. This includes:
- Managing and mentoring a team of conveyancers
- Overseeing residential property files from instruction through to completion
- Supporting panel membership growth
- Driving process improvement, risk management, and compliance
- Working closely with directors, with a path toward directorship and profit share

About You
- A qualified legal professional with a current practising certificate (Solicitor, Legal Exec, or Licensed Conveyancer)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential conveyancing
- Ideally experienced in team leadership or with exposure to compliance/risk management
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for long-term career growth and leadership
- Personable and collaborative with clients and colleagues alike
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and grow the conveyancing department
- Ensure effective case progression and service delivery
- Drive compliance and assist directors with regulatory duties
- Support improvements to systems and IT processes
- Develop and maintain a high-performing, client-focused team culture
