Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 nurses to join our dedicated and passionate community nurse led Tissue Viability and Lymphoedema Services. The post holders will assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based tissue viability and lymphoedema care for patients with chronic wounds and lower limb oedema in both community and in-patient settings. They will take an active role in service audit, quality improvement initiatives and education and training events in and on practice. The post holder will also be responsible for managing and supporting the development of junior clinical and administrative staff.
The Tissue Viability Service (TVS) - provides specialist advice to clinicians on the prevention and management of chronic wounds across Enfield Community,residential and nursing homes, community rehabilitation unit and in-patient mental health wards.The Lymphoedema Service provides specialist advice to patients on the management of lymphoedema, chronic oedema and lipoedema across the borough of Enfield. We provide Nurse led clinics daily in a variety of settings and visits the housebound patients at home or residential and nursing homes.
The catchment area is ethnically and socio-economically diverse. The post holder will be required to work across multiple care settings alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team within the community and will require liaison with other external services to support quality health improvement in our patient group

As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.

The post holder will be an experienced Registered General Nurse who will take an active role in the delivery and development of the Tissue Viability and Lymphoedema Services. The post holder will be competent in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based care for patients with chronic wounds and lower limb oedema in both community and in-patient settings.
