As they continue to grow and innovate, we are supporting their search for a skilled Solar PV Designer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing high-performance solar energy systems, ensuring both commercial and residential clients benefit from sustainable, cost-effective solutions.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Designer with at least 2 years of experience in designing commercial systems. You will be proficient in all aspects of design-from rooftop layouts to electrical schematics. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to design both commercial and domestic solar PV systems, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and delivering high-quality designs to meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop both commercial and domestic solar PV systems, including rooftop layouts, electrical designs, and schematics.
2. Work closely with clients to understand their energy needs and design tailored systems to maximize energy production.
3. Perform site assessments, shading analysis, load calculations, and ensure designs are optimized for both performance and efficiency.
4. Use design software such as PV Sol to create detailed system layouts and documentation.
5. Coordinate with installation teams, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth execution and troubleshooting of designs.
6. Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
7. Stay updated on the latest trends in solar technology, and continuously refine design methodologies for improved performance.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience designing commercial Solar PV systems.
2. Strong proficiency in designing solar PV systems, including rooftop design, electrical schematics, and system layouts.
3. Experience with PV Sol or similar solar design software.
4. Knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and best practices for both commercial and domestic PV systems.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience with SolarEdge, Enphase, and Sigen Energy products.
2. Knowledge of hybrid energy systems and battery storage solutions.
3. Familiarity with energy modeling, performance simulation, and system optimization.
4. Experience with domestic PV system design.
