We have an exciting opportunity to join our school nursery as a Nursery Teacher to cover a maternity leave. The role will require you to have responsibility for the running of the Nursery.• To plan and prepare activities in order to deliver the school’s curriculum, ensuring breadth and balance across all 7 areas.• To manage the nursery waiting list and fully utilise the provision of the nursery sessions available. Liaise with prospective parents to ensure a smooth transition of their child into the nursery provision.• To work with the school administration team so that the correct funding is claimed.• To manage the running of the nursery so that the provision is well organised and equipped to support the varying needs of our children and their continued development.• To maintain develop and foster a positive learning environment for all pupils, safeguarding their health and safety following school procedures and policies.• To plan opportunities to develop the social, emotional and cultural aspects of pupils’ learning.• To maintain a regular system of monitoring, assessment, record-keeping and reporting of children’s progress and feed this back to parents.
