We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Welding/Fabricator Engineering trainer/coach to be part of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre Training Centre Team.
You will join the delivery team and will be responsible for the workshop-based skills training and workplace coaching during the first year Foundation Phase of the Engineering Levels 3 through to 6 of the Apprenticeship programme.
This role will be based at the AMRC Training Centre. This would be in the engineering skills workshop and visits to local employer’s premises.

You will
● Be Qualified to Level 3 in engineering (BTEC/NVQ/C&G/HNC) and/or relevant experience.
● Possess significant experience of technical work in a Welding/Fabrication engineering setting
● hold a teaching qualification or willingness to undertake such a qualification on start
● have effective verbal and written communication skills, both written and verbal, report writing skills, experience of delivering presentations, communicating to staff and stakeholders at all levels
● have the ability to assess and organise resources and plan and progress work activities
As an Engineering trainer/coach you will be required to carry out the training, assessment and coaching of engineering apprentices within the AMRC Training Centre and onsite at employer’s premises as well as deliver short CPD courses as required. Engineering trainers/coaches are expected to support enrichment activities and any Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths events to promote the AMRC Training Centre. Some of these will be out of normal working hours.
