Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Wardento join our team at a Ministry of Defence Personnel Recovery Centre, Chavasse V CHouse, Berechurch Road, Colchester, CO2 9RQ. This vital role provides overnight (silent hours) staff cover to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and security of residents – primarily Wounded, Injured, and Sick (WIS) military personnel.
As the first point of contact for residents during silent hours, you will offer practical support, respond to incidents, and liaise with relevant civilian or military services when required. Your presence will help maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all.
What you’ll do:
- Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security identification and protocols for the site/area
- Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems
- Act as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting
- Log calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff
- Deliver and maintain customer service at all times, ensuring client satisfaction
- Maintain a high standard of a well kept reception/entry area to ensure visitors journey starts with a positive impression.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
SIA Licence (Security Industry Authority).
