Yet, people from ethnically diverse backgrounds and disabled people are significantly underrepresented in the UK conservation workforce.We want to actively increase the diversity of our workforce and have a fantastic opportunity for a new member of the team to join us, initially on a 12-month fixed term contract, with a specific focus on testing and trialling a Guaranteed Interview Scheme.About the RoleWorking remotely, we are looking for someone with experience of supporting a Guaranteed Interview Scheme to join us to move our inclusive recruitment practices forward. The successful candidate will also be a great communicator with an eye for detail and data, strong organisational skills and understanding of the impact that recruitment has on organisational success.Working alongside a team of advisors the focus will be on supporting managers with recruitment on roles evidenced as being underrepresented at the RSPB. At the end of the 12 months this role will have demonstrated the benefits to offering a Guaranteed Interview Scheme, up skilled recruiting managers and the resourcing team to share best practise, built a clear process and created clear guidance for future use of the Guaranteed Interview Scheme. Key tasks will include:• Providing expert guidance and support to recruiting managers on the practical application of the requirements of a guaranteed interview scheme while continuing to work within RSPB recruitment policies and procedures • Advising and supporting managers on appropriate selection methods for their roles• Actively supporting with improving inclusive recruitment tools and implementation of new ways of working• The collection and provision of recruitment data and insights in relation to roles advertised under the guaranteed interview scheme• Keeping up to date with relevant and cost-effective routes to market and new recruitment trends• Working collaboratively with your team to change ways of working as requiredWhat you will have:• Experience of operating a guaranteed interview scheme for underrepresented groups• A sound understanding of the legal context of recruitment• Experience of direct recruitment methods including working with websites and social media• Ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders• Able to demonstrate a collaborative approach to working and sharing knowledge and information as well as identifying and making iterative improvements to ways of working• An effective communicator who can collate and present data to enable business focused resourcing decisions• Excellent attention to detail• Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, and OutlookOpen BriefingWe will be hosting an open briefing session on Thursday the 22nd of May at 5:30 pm, where you can drop in to learn more about the role and ask any questions you may have.
