Backed by EDF and the UK Government, Sizewell C is a once-in-a-generation project with significant opportunities to innovate, grow, and deliver excellence.Join the Sizewell C Project as a Senior Construction Manager!You’ll assist the Construction Lead and work with the Area delivery Leadership team to manage the Construction, Commissioning and handover of Off Site Infrastructure scope. You'll report to the Construction Lead, be responsible for managing and supporting a team of Construction Delivery Managers. You'll provide a day to day management of site activities, providing direction and monitoring of activities on the site and including logistics, planning and implementation in collaboration with the Site Operations security and logistics team, alongside monitoring and close out of regulatory authorities’ obligations and conditions. Primary scope will focus on: Site Delivery – Off-Site Infrastructure, Site Delivery – Programme Assurance, and Site Delivery – HSEQ Delivery.What you’ll be doing: Reporting to the Construction Lead, you will:Lead and support a team of Construction Delivery Managers.Oversee day-to-day site activities including logistics, planning, and implementation.Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and safety standards.Drive delivery of contract packages on time, within budget, and to technical specifications.Interface with stakeholders, local communities, and regulatory bodies.Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues proactively.Ensure alignment with the Programme Execution Plan and project schedule.Ensure the List of Deliverables (LOD) relating to the scope of work is delivered.Work within project principals, process and procedure at all times.What We’re Looking For:Proven track record in complex, regulated environments.Strong leadership in engineering design, procurement, and construction management.Good team player, self motivated and able to work on own initiative.Proficiency in project controls, earned value management, and risk tools.Strong planning and organising skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.Clear decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations.Experience with NEC contracts and stakeholder engagement.Degree and chartered status in engineering or construction (preferred).In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations and project lifecycle management.Key Responsibilities:Define and manage work scopes and interfaces.Lead planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities.Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and site delivery standards.Manage contractor performance, payments, and deliverables.Promote knowledge capture and continuous improvement.
