About The Role

We are recruiting a brand-new team of Community Care Supervisors to support and monitor the delivery of high-quality clinical care across our network of care locations in Maidstone and the surrounding area.

This role would particularly suit qualified Nurse Associates, or Carers who are highly experienced in providing complex care.

Unity Care Solutions deliver care and clinical nursing to children who have complex long-term health conditions within the comfort and safety of their own homes.

As a Community Care Supervisor, you will be attached to our Kent Branch office and will be deployed to work alongside a range of our clients and their families to support continuity of care. You will develop strong relationships with a range of families to instil confidence in our services and staff teams, working to ensure that clients are supported in line with their care plans and associated documentation.

Tasks associated with this role include:

- Deliver care and clinical nursing to clients on a shift-work basis.
- Flexible deployment to care settings in accordance with the operational needs of
the business.
- Focus on the delivery and maintenance of clinical excellence.
- Supervision and monitoring of care staff, including completion of competency
assessments, supervisions, and observations.
- Monitoring and reviewing the quality of clinical documentation and record-keeping
associated with care delivery within the care settings.
- Supporting the induction of new members of care teams, including shadowing,
observing, and monitoring clinical competency.
- Deliver training and coaching to junior care staff.
- Monitoring and auditing of medication administration and management
procedures.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from candidates with paediatric nursing experience, and applicants with skills and experience in one or more of the following:

- Tracheostomy management
- Ventilator care
- Enteral feeding
- Deep suctioning
- Epilepsy management
- Manual handling
- Learning disabilities
- Challenging behaviour
- Other advanced medical conditions

In return, we provide:

- Competitive rates of pay, worked flexibly to meet your needs
- ‘Refer a Friend’ bonus of £150, paid as soon as they pass probation
- Access to our wellness programme, including 24/7 access to an online GP service
- Blue Light card discounts

About You

To be successful, you must be experienced in delivering care to vulnerable individuals with complex needs. This experience will have ideally been gained within a community care setting; however this is not essential.

You will also ideally hold relevant experience of completing supervisory tasks which uphold and assure the standard of care, and will be able to demonstrate experience of driving quality and improvement through team support and monitoring.

If you are applying as an experienced Care Worker, you will ideally hold a Level 3 QCF in Health & Social Care, and will be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a Team Leader capacity or equivalent.

If you are applying as a Nurse Associate, you will need to hold active and ongoing registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council, and be in possession of all necessary accreditations.

Experience in paediatric care would also be beneficial, however is not essential. What is essential, is that you are able to demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach towards others, and a natural ability to build positive relationships with those around you.

Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence, and access to a vehicle with the correct insurances, is required.

Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship, therefore it is essential that applicants hold the right to work in the UK.
