Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that support our data analytics initiatives. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure that the data infrastructure is optimised for performance and scalability.
Duties:
Design and deliver robust Azure data solutions across strategy, ETL, analytics.
Designing, building, and optimising scalable data pipelines, data warehouse structures, and integration processes.
Implementing robust ETL solutions to consolidate data from multiple sources into the central data warehouse.
Working with a fully cloud-based Azure ecosystem (including Azure Data Factory and Databricks).
Develop insightful Power BI reports, translating business requirements into actionable data visualisations
Manage cloud-based services on Azure to enhance data accessibility and security.
Conduct regular performance tuning of databases and queries to optimise system performance.
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading to ensure clean and accurate data Optimise Power BI solutions for performance and scalability.
Create automated reports and dashboards using Power BI, DAX, SQL and other reporting tools to support business insights
Stay updated with emerging technologies in the field of data engineering and contribute innovative ideas.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, Proven track record delivering data solutions in the Azure ecosystem
Deep expertise across the Azure Data Platform (Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory, python, etc.)
Strong data pipeline and ETL skills, including data modelling and transformation
Experience implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) in lakehouse or Databricks environments
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and agile delivery
Azure Data Engineer, Fabric Engineer, or related motivation to earn them
Proficiency in SQL, Python for data analysis and manipulation.
Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights
Strong analytical skills with the ability to vaticinate future trends based on current data patterns.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members.
