A-Level Psychology Lecturer - Bedford

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring A-Level Psychology Lecturer to join our academic team in Bedford. This permanent, part-time role is ideal for a passionate educator looking to support Sixth Form learners in achieving academic success in Psychology.

You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching, ensuring learners are engaged, motivated, and well-prepared for exams, further study, or employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver A-Level Psychology lessons that are engaging, relevant, and academically rigorous
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with awarding body requirements
  • Provide timely feedback and support student progression
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities, including organising guest speakers and educational visits
  • Support student retention, achievement, and positive outcomes
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independent learning
  • Participate in performance review and professional development activities
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, and health and safety in all aspects of teaching and learning
Candidate Profile

We welcome applicants who:

  • Hold a degree in Psychology or a relevant subject
  • Possess a recognised teaching qualification (CertEd/PGCE or equivalent)
  • Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (A-C grade)
  • Have recent experience teaching A-Level Psychology to 16-18-year-olds
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality, student-centred learning experiences
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement, inclusivity, and safeguarding
