Job Title: Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker (This job falls as an Exception Under the Equality Act 2010)
Hours: 3 hours a week (Saturday & Sunday) – This will be 1 hour in the mornings and 30 minutes late afternoon. Also, to cover any sickness or annual leave (times to be discussed and mutually agreed).
Rates of Pay: £14.70 per hour.
Location: Llanrhos near Llandudno, Conwy

About the Job:
I am an older lady who needs support within my own home. I have Parkinson’s and I’m now blind. I will require assistance with personal care and support to prepare meals and complete daily tasks.
I have reduced mobility and have episodes of freezing whilst trying to mobilise. I have a walker which I use and tend to hold onto grab rails within the home too.
I would like the PA to support my husband to be as active and involved as possible without causing detriment to his health.
Duties:
I would like the PA to support choice, promote independence, dignity and respect. Assist me to maintain a pleasant and safe home environment. I need assistance and support in all aspects of daily living.
I require support in the mornings to get out of bed, support with my personal care and will need assistance with dressing. I would like the PA to assist me to maintain good personal hygiene in a dignified and sensitive manner by helping me to shower and check skin integrity. I also need support with oral hygiene and with the administration of my medication. I will need the PA to assist with transfers from the bathroom to the living area.
I also require support later on in the afternoons to help prepare for bed.
I would like the PA to encourage me to take fluids to promote hydration and minimise infection. I would like the PA to prepare breakfast, ensuring a varied diet is provided.
PA to support with laundry tasks and cleaning of the bathroom after use. PA to clean kitchen and dining area after use.
I would like the PA to support me with any activities that I am able to undertake due to my blindness.
Any other duties which may be reasonably allocated and fall within the scope and responsibilities of this role. To undertake any relevant training when necessary
