What You'll Do:
- Leads a team of software engineers in developing new products or features, maintaining existing codebases, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Manages project timelines and ensure deadlines are met while adhering to quality standards.
- Collaborates with other departments such as product management, marketing, customer service, etc., to ensure successful product launches.
- Develops strategies for improving efficiency within the engineering team by leveraging automation tools or introducing new processes/methodologies.
- Monitors performance metrics related to engineering projects (e.g., bug count) and take corrective action when necessary.
- Mentors junior engineers on best practices for coding standards, debugging techniques, etc., while providing feedback on their work performance regularly.
- Stays up-to-date on industry trends related to software engineering technologies/tools/processes; identify opportunities for improvement where applicable.
What You'll Bring:
- Technical Management experience in software engineering team management with practicing DevOps and agile knowledge with a failing fast culture.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in an enterprise environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages including Python, Java, database.
- Coordinate across many internal and external teams and provide visibility to the company's senior leaders with their strong written and oral communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and operations.
- Essential experience in Dual Band router or Video Platform or Streaming Device capabilities
- Experience designing or architecting distributed (design patterns, reliability and scaling) new and existing systems.
- Strong experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment.
- Passionate and motivated to learn quickly, think big, bring creatively with a startup mindsets to execute strategically and tactically in project deliverables.
