The HICA Group has a new opening for a Senior Care Assistant at our specialist dementia care home in Hull - Elm Tree Court.
The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.
Pay & hours:
£14.53 per hour
33 hours per week
Night shift
Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)
£500 welcome bonus (£250 to be paid at 2 milestones)
About you:
You will have achieved or be working towards a Diploma/NVQ Level 2 and/or 3 in Health & Social Care, demonstrating your commitment and passion for care. Additionally, you will need to have completed medication training. You will be enthusiastic about the prospect of working as part of a dynamic team, ensuring the home adheres to all necessary requirements and procedures at all times, as the ‘senior’ in charge.

The role:
By becoming a Senior Care Assistant, you will support our services users to maintain their independence by assisting with everyday tasks and activities, in line with their individual needs;
Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
Assist with mobility and transferring safely e.g. from bed to chair.
Full training is provided so if you are new to the care sector, we will help you start your journey with confidencee their quality of life
Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
Observe and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being reporting any changes
Reporting any safeguarding concerns
Promote independence of our residents at all times to improv
Assist with meals and drinks to support our resident’s overall nutrition
Contribute and support during activities
Maintain and develop professional relations with families
