Summary


This post is an exciting opportunity for an experiencedCAMHSPractitioner to join Tameside and Glossop CAMHSService and support the Management of the DBT pathway and the CORE mental health emotional and behavioural pathway

You will also lead and manage an established community based workforce, ensuring that they support the implementation of the Thrive model of care for Children's and Young Peoples Mental Health (CYPMH). You will help ensure thatCAMHSGetting More Help and Getting Risk support offers are developed and that those CYP that need help and treatment fromCAMHSaccess it smoothly and at the earliest opportunity. You will work across all CAMHS age groups .

Provide line management and clinical supervision to the Mental Health Practitioners within the service.

Be instrumental in identifying gaps in service provision enabling these to be escalated to allow for service and system future planning across the borough.

Attend DBT consultation meetings and provide clinical input into the DBT intervention offer .

Work alongside colleagues in Social Care, Health, Education and the Police to ensure smooth transition and coordination of care for young people with an identified mental health need in the borough.

Children’s mental health and emotional well-being is a key priority locally and Tameside and Glossop benefits from strong multi-agency networks and creative approaches to service delivery.

We offer a robust supervision structure and development opportunities in terms of psychological therapies training within the trust and opportunities to access specialist training in line with your own and the team’s needs.

Your days will be varied and your work will be completed largely within the core CAMHS service. This role will have high impact locally and in order to be successful you will need:
• Strong CYP mental health knowledge and experience.
• Experience of using training, supervision and consultation as a means of helping other professionals to support the mental health of CYP.
• Good understanding and commitment to theCAMHStransformation agenda
• Experience of leading others in ways that inspire innovation and excellence.
