The University of Reading is looking for an enthusiastic, well organised, hardworking and proactive Farms Administrator to support the smooth running of both the commercial Farms, and on Farm Research within the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact between Farm based staff and other individuals and groups within and external to the University.
The role is focused on administrative tasks with a key focus on delivering excellent levels of service and support to farming and research activities at The Centre for Dairy Research (CEDAR). Duties include:
- Providing financial support (raising orders and maintaining financial accounts)
- Preparing staff time sheets, and liaising with University payroll
- Maintaining and updating filing and record management systems
- Receiving and responding to enquiries including telephone and emails
You will have to be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to maintain administrative and financial records
- Ability to balance competing priorities and meet set deadlines
