Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Man to join our team. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our care home, carrying out repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance to create a safe and comfortable living space for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and safety checks
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Responding to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
- Conducting inspections to identify potential issues and resolve them proactively
- Maintaining records of maintenance activities and reporting any major concerns
- Liaising with external contractors when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance role (preferably in a care home or similar environment)
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and responsible attitude
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
