The Clinical Support Worker (Level 3) is a member of the care team who provides nursing care and interventions to a delegated patient caseload, assisting the Registered Nurse/Practitioners to deliver high quality and effective care.

Duties will be dependent upon clinical area of work and if it is a hospital or community role and additional training undertaken but may include:

· Personal care or chaperone duties

· Supporting patients with bathing, toileting, dressing and meals

· Records patient information

· A range of delegated clinical care duties including dressings, medication administration

· Undertakes and records patients’ vital signs

· Escalate any concerns in observation or change in patient’s condition

· Enhanced observations

· Patient escort role
