Your role as Facilities Team Leader

We are looking for an experienced and customer focused Facilities Team Leader to join our team at the Medical Scholl in the Queens Medical Centre (QMC). Main duties will include the organisation and supervision of the Building Attendant team and the cleaning operation, including maintaining the cleaning requirements within the areas to a high standard. You will be responsible for auditing the service the team provides, inspecting the infrastructure of the buildings, reporting maintenance issues ensuring compliance.

You will also lock and unlock designated areas of the building issuing and receiving keys from staff and contractors ensuring relevant policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. A large part of this role includes being the first point of contact for visitors to the area which includes dealing with large numbers of enquiries face to face, by phone and by e-mail ensuring excellent customer service is always achieved. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleaning standards within the area and will induct, train and supervise the cleaning team carrying out appraisal conversations as required.

Candidates should have experience of working in a similar customer facing environment and have relevant cleaning experience. You will also have experience of supervising staff and ideally have basic maintenance experience and knowledge of fire and security alarm systems.

Hours of work are 36.25 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday) with hours worked between 6.00am-2.45pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 6.00am-1.00pm on Tuesday and Friday. Flexibility will be required. This is a permanent, full time post.

The successful candidate for this post will be expected to attend the Estates and Facilities training courses which run Monday to Friday mornings. Further details will be given at interview.
