Summary

Emergency Planning 1) Act as main point of contact and recognised source of specialist advice and guidance within the trust on EPRR and Police related matters. 2) Lead on the formulation and implementation of emergency plans, for an integrated approach to managing major incidents, critical and business continuity incidents that may affect the operation of core services. Ensuring plans are robust, are regularly reviewed and up-dated. 3) Provide structure and advise Care Groups and Corporate Functions in the development, validation, testing and review of Business Continuity Plans. 4) To develop and raise the profile and awareness of emergency and business continuity planning across the Trust. Working with Care Groups and Corporate Functions, ensure that business continuity plans are in place in support of clinical and non-clinical activities. 5) To represent the Trust and actively participate in the Devon, Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Local Resilience Forum (DCIoS LRF) including Local Health Resilience Partnership business management group, and associated work streams. 6) Interpret legislation and guidance and advise senior leaders of the associated implications for the Trust. 7) To manage and co-ordinate the Trusts Incident Co-ordination Centre, ensuring it is maintained in an operational state of readiness and emails are monitored and actioned appropriately. 8) Working with colleagues in the Emergency Department and Nuclear medicine, assist and help maintain the Trusts CBRN response capability including ensuring equipment is inspected and fit for purpose.
