The measurement of QoS in trials of treatments for paediatric brain tumours is essential to assess the differential impact on children’s outcomes. Measuring QoS on a European scale is challenging and the aim of this project is to maximise accrual using a web-based patient-reported outcomes portal. You will be expected to work closely with the QoS lead to manage European wide data collection, data exports, and related SPSS databases and syntax files to prepare the data for statistical analysis.
A high level of competence with SPSS is essential, as is a high level of accuracy and an eye for detail, required to work with large data sets. You will join a European wide research group in the area of paediatric brain tumour trials with a keen focus on QoS. You will also be a member of the Clinical Neurosciences research group in the school of Clinical and Experimental Sciences.
Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
