Summary

As Production Scheduler you will be responsible for the control and development of end-to-end Machine Shop and Assembly planning processes.

What you'll be doing:

- Use IFS software to control and develop end to end machine shop and assembly
planning processes.
- Load and capacity planning of Machine Shop and Assembly Area.
Schedule multiple operations including machining, sub con, inspection and
assembly.
- Develop and maintain useful status reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain predicted completion timing of each operation, and final predicted
shipping timing for the full order book.
- Analyse and present data to enable logical improvement identification and decision
making.
- Interact with all departments to ensure all system (IFS) inputs are correct and
understood.
- Ensure the load and available capacity by resource is always up to date for
medium- and long-term planning decision making.
- Ensure all departments are working to the same priorities, have clear and
achievable completion targets.
- Liaison and planning of the Stephenson Gobin India manufacturing facility.
- Raise and close all works orders enabling efficient daily and weekly planning of the - Machine Shop and Assembly area.
- Ensure data accuracy of product routings and timings.
- Optimisation of the planning to drive OEE improvement.
- Challenge current methods and practices by use of data to continuously improve
business efficiencies.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Planner, ideally with a background in engineering/manufacturing.

You will have a strong understanding of planning systems and MRP, along with experience working closely with both internal and external supply teams in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with ERP systems is essential, knowledge of IFS would be advantageous.

You will have a good understanding of machine and assembly processes, and be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, highly organised, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well as part of a team.
