Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our grounds maintenance team with an interest and commitment to providing excellent parks, green spaces and sports facilities that are of Green flag standard.

The ideal applicant will have some previous experience of caretaking work with knowledge and experience in the use of a variety of grounds care machinery with a good experience in amenity horticulture. It would be desirable for applicants to have experience in fine turf and the maintenance of artificial grass pitches. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, reliable, conscientious, and capable of working individually or as part of a team. As a Groundsperson / Sport Attendant, you would need to work well under pressure and be able to work on your own initiative.

It is an essential requirement that you hold a full driving licence and ideally have the ability to tow trailers.

The position is based at various Parks within Chelmsford and is based on a working week of 37hrs Thursday to Monday inclusive of weekends. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate flexibility as some late evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work will be required.
